Hąwe pi! My name is Gichegemi (gee-CHAY-gay-mee). I’m a Jiwere-Nut’achi (Jee-weh-r/deh-Noot’AH-chee) and Baxoje (bah-XOH-jay) linguist, historian, and educator by training but a podcaster, writer, artist, and jill of all trades by necessity. I grew up in the great state of Oklahoma and the slightly friendlier state of Kansas, walking the two metaphorical worlds of Indigeneity and settlerdom. This website is dedicated to the many projects that I devote myself to. I hope you find something here that resonates and moves you to act in love and solidarity. Wapanya ha!
